Upcoming Externship Day – April 18
For many people, shop class was their only introduction to carpentry, metalworking, and a hands-on development of their mechanical aptitude.
Now, some CTE (Career and Technical Education) educators show students the real world career application of shop class projects as well as detailed descriptions of careers in the trades and the training pathways that lead to those high-paying careers. But, many students still don’t have access to information or pre-apprenticeship training.
Thankfully Local 139 offers curriculum to Wisconsin schools through K12’s Destinations Career Academy.
Students can learn more about DCA courses and the Operating Engineers training and apprenticeship at our EXTERNSHIP DAY 9AM-2PM, Wednesday, April 18th.
Meet industry professionals and learn about the high-demand career path of an Operating Engineer.
