On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, Destinations Career Academy and Wisconsin Operating Engineer Training Center hosted a day of informational tours, introductory training exercises, presentations and an expert panel discussion for hundreds of Wisconsin high school students and staff. The goal was to educate students about careers in the skilled trades and how to pursue pathways to those jobs BEFORE they graduate.

It seems very clear that there is a passion shared by organized labor, educators and employers for getting young people into those jobs and seeing them succeed.
