2024 Labor Day Parade List

Celebrate Labor Day this weekend in communities throughout Wisconsin by remembering those who made sacrifices for benefits often taken for granted, such as weekends off, worker protections, vacation time, overtime pay, and more.


Local 139 will be participating in the following Labor Day parades:

DISTRICT A

MILWAUKEE
Monday, September 2

The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. at Zeidler Union Square. The lineup begins at 9:00 a.m. at 3rd Street between Michigan Ave. and Everette Street (east side of Zeidler Union Square). The buses will transport people beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. from Lot H & P (Henry W Maier Festival Park, E Erie St, Milwaukee). The route ends at the Summerfest Grounds for a family-friendly Laborfest with food, music, solidarity, and more.

DISTRICT B

HILLSBORO
Monday, September 2

The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. The parade lineup starts on E. Madison Street & Wood Ave. Volunteers should assemble by 9:30 a.m. at the Vernon County Highway Department shop. Hillsboro Firemen’s Labor Day Celebration Fundraiser and Firemen’s Chicken Dinner will follow.

LA CROSSE
Monday, September 2

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. The parade lineup begins at 8:30 a.m. at Loggers Field. Festivities include food/beverages for sale and games at Copeland Park following the parade.

DISTRICT C

MERRILL
Monday, September 2

The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. Volunteers should assemble by 9:00 a.m. on S Genesee St.

Sunday, September 1

The parade starts at 12:30 p.m. on Main Street on Sunday, September 1. The parade lineup begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Shell Lake Arts Center. Visit the 44th Annual Shell Lake Town & Country Days Facebook page.

Monday, September 2

The parade starts at 4:00 p.m. The lineup begins at 3:00 p.m. on Cherry Street and West Wausau Ave., across from United Health Group. The parade proceeds down 3rd Ave. and ends at the Wausau Labor Temple. Meet after in Marathon Park for pizza and refreshments.

REDGRANITE 
Monday, September 2

The parade starts at 11:00 a.m.
The lineup begins at 9:00 a.m.
Arts, Craft & Vendor Fair, Annual Chicken BBQ, and music to follow.

FOX VALLEY/NEENAH-MENASHA
Monday, September 2

The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at Menasha Curtis Reed Square and goes through to Downtown Neenah.
The lineup begins at 9:00 a.m. on Broad Street, Menasha.
Activities to follow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Neenah Labor Temple, 157 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah. Family fun includes live music, food, beverages, raffles, corn roast, paddle wheel, rummage sale, bounce houses, face painting, clowns, slushies, popcorn, and more.
