It is with great sadness that we announce to you this morning the passing of former President/Business Manager Donald W. Shaw Sr on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. We are told that he passed away peacefully in bed shortly after an extended visit from family and loved ones. Shaw was elected Business Manager in 1977 and served through his final term in 1995. During his tenure, Don was known as a tough negotiator, elevating the financial interests of the membership of Local 139. He is also credited with always working to improve our healthcare. Being a huge supporter of allocating money into our central pension fund, Don will most be remembered for making sure our members retirement was among the best of all trades throughout the country.

At his request, a small private service with family and loved ones in attendance will be held.
