Dear IUOE Local 139 & Our 2018 Golf Outing Friends,

YOU. KNOCKED. OUR. SOCKS. OFF. We can hardly believe our good fortune to have gained
your support. Your enthusiasm for Hogs For Heroes and the warm reception you’ve given us
deeply touches our hearts.

And…can we just say…WOW! We were simply stunned to hear Terry McGowan share the
celebratory news that you raised $11,000 for us in your 2018 Golf Outing raffle proceeds! Truly,
it reduced us to tears: first because it is an overwhelming gift for our small nonprofit, but
secondly because you’ve made it possible to put one more Veteran back on the road this
summer still. Not only that, you’ve given us one heck of a head start for the next bike in 2019.

Hogs For Heroes is a Wisconsin 501(c)(3) non-profit organization started in the Spring of 2015
by four family members, none of whom served. We believe the freedom of the road, the
collegiality of riders and the pride and peace found in owning and riding a Harley-Davidson can
support the healing process for those Wisconsin Veterans, injured in the course of active duty,
who have long enjoyed the passion for riding and now find themselves without the means or
ability to do so. It is our hope that in gifting a Harley to a struggling Veteran and allowing for the
healing in “road therapy”, we will make that rough road a little smoother for a Hero in need.

And you have done just that! Every penny, 100%, of your donation will head directly toward the
purchase of our next Harley for an injured Wisconsin Veteran rider. That means two more
heroic lives, and the family, friends and community that surround them, will be directly changed
for the better…because of you.

A huge note of gratitude to all who worked tirelessly to put on a spectacular day for your
participants, especially Bob Cayer, Becky Laumann, Nichole Bertram, Shannon Birnschein and
Mike our Raffle MC. And Terry McGowan, thank you for being you and for championing our
cause so beautifully. So glad we could be on Hole #5 hanging with you all—we had a blast!
Again, we are incredibly honored to have gained your vote of confidence, and humbled by your
generous support. We appreciate your partnering with us to make a positive difference in the
lives of our injured Wisconsin Veterans: One Bike at a Time. One Hero at a Time.
